40th Anniversary Logo

The company’s flagship title, Golden Tee Golf, is the most successful out-of-home entertainment video game in history, found in tens of thousands of establishments worldwide. Now in its sixth generation, Golden Tee PGA TOUR engages millions of players with its approachable, compelling, and addictive skill-based gameplay. IT also pioneered the use of networking games way back in 1995 with the groundbreaking ITS/ITNet system, allowing players to track stats, compete in real-time contests, and win prizes—offering a level of connectivity and innovation found nowhere else.

While our players have evolved, our vision remains the same. Every game, cabinet, and piece of hardware is a reflection of the passionate people who create and stand behind them. This is our incredible vision: making games that players want to play and operators want to own. IT’s all about the game.

Incredible Technologies is a privately held, certified Women’s Business Enterprise and a proud member of the National Indian Gaming Association, Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers, Amusement Machine Operators Association, and American Amusement Machine Association.

Our History
1985
IT is founded as Free Radical Software by Elaine Hodgson and Richard Ditton in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, developing a wide range of entertainment products for a variety of platforms and publishers.
1988
IT develops and manufactures an inexpensive hardware platform and unique game play for IT's first coin-op game, Capcom Bowling. The success of this title, particularly in street locations, sets the stage for future coin-op titles.
1989
The original coin-op golf game, Golden Tee, is released and enjoys a modest success, and further positions the trackball as a unique control device for future game versions and titles.
1990
IT develops and markets over 15 unique coin-op titles under the Strata brand, including Strata Bowling, Arlington Horse Racing, Golden Tee Golf II, Time Killers and BloodStorm.
1995
The third generation of Golden Tee, Peter Jacobsen’s Golden Tee 3D Golf, debuts with robust custom hardware, better graphics and gameplay, and an all-new cabinet that catches on early and opens the door for location-based video entertainment.
1995
IT pioneers a method of communicating with thousands of game units across the country to offer automated skill-based contests with cash prizes. The reliable system and procedures resonate with players and machine owners alike and moves Golden Tee Golf into an unprecedented entertainment category.
2000
The fourth generation of the popular franchise, Golden Tee Fore!, explodes across North America, England, Australia and New Zealand, on an expanded online system now called ITNet. More than $50 million in cash prizes are awarded through skill tournaments over its 5 year life cycle. Big Buck Hunter is also introduced as a sister title, with ITNet game play and skill tournaments added.
2004
Silver Strike Bowling, IT's fourth generation of video bowling games, joins the lineup with spectacular 3D game play and ITNet compatibility. Silver Strike receives 2 version updates over the next few years, with the latest version, Silver Strike LIVE, still in operation in thousands of locations across the country.
2005
The fifth generation of GT, Golden Tee LIVE, launches with dramatic improvements in hardware, software and game features. Wireless ITNet connectivity, instant access to stats, more prize contest formats, and customizable golfers make the game more accessible to a wider audience. Annual course updates, with additional features and hardware improvements, have helped to maintain a passionate and growing player base nearly 20 years!
2008
PowerPutt, a video mini-golf game, proves to be another IT hit, with 3 versions leading to PowerPutt LIVE. The popular Daily Contest prize format debuts and is adapted to later versions of Golden Tee.
2014
The Golden Tee franchise reaches an incredible 25 successful years in the pay-to-play amusement industry. In this time over 100,000 game units have been sold and operated on nearly every continent.
