IT Announces Golden Tee PGA TOUR Upgrade Deals, Plus Sunset Dates and Information for GT LIVE
(May 4, 2026 – Lincolnshire, IL) As it approaches its fifth blockbuster year, Golden Tee PGA TOUR continues to enjoy record-breaking success—and Incredible Technologies is taking steps to keep it that way.
To devote more resources to its bestselling platform, IT will stop releasing content updates for its legacy title, Golden Tee LIVE, a strategy in the works since the new platform launched.
“Golden Tee LIVE has long been a pillar of the amusement space and the IT brand—and we’re forever grateful,” says Adam Kramer, President of IT’s Amusement Division. “But focusing solely on the PGA TOUR platform will allow us to keep enthralling players and rewarding operators for years to come.”
Gameplay on the PGA TOUR platform has increased exponentially over the past few years. It is now the dominant version of play, totaling nearly 70 percent of all games played—and rising.
“It’s been an amazing ride,” Kramer adds. “But since we released PGA TOUR, our team’s worked tirelessly to create two complete content updates and service two separate software platforms. The timing is right.”
And there’s good news for operators with GT LIVE machines in the field. To ease the continued transition to PGA TOUR, Incredible Technologies is offering unmatched upgrade incentives—so it’s easy to take advantage of everything it has to offer, now and going forward.
What’s the Winddown for Golden Tee LIVE?
In deference to operators and players, IT will move away from Golden Tee LIVE gradually over the course of the year. Many online features, headlined by Prize Play, will be deactivated on LIVE on November 1, 2026.
Other features such as the Daily Contest and Money $hot will go dark in September, after Golden Tee PGA TOUR 2027 is released.
When PGA TOUR launched, IT committed to supporting LIVE for five years, via five years of software updates, because, in Kramer’s words, “We felt it was important to customers to give the platform a proper sendoff.”
And IT will continue to provide LIVE tech support for some time, as consistent with its operator-friendly philosophy.
“Putting an exact date on the cutoff is challenging, especially when the electronics world is once again under stress.” Kramer says. “Our goal is to support LIVE through the 2027 calendar year, then reevaluate.”
A Trio of Upgrade Opportunities—All with 2027 Update Protection
The days of having a single cabinet option are long gone. Over the past five years, Incredible Technologies has spent significant time and resources building up the GT PGA TOUR product line to support any route and specific location’s needs.
Operators can choose from three ways to upgrade from GT LIVE to GT PGA TOUR:
- Golden Tee PGA TOUR Upgrade Kits: The most economical option, operators can install new PGA TOUR software to use with their current cabinets and hardware. IT has kits for Showpiece cabinets, along with LIVE and FORE! cut-down cabinets. Kits include a new system box, new control panel (equipped with buttons and trackball), key electronics and more.
- Golden Tee PGA TOUR Showpiece PRO: IT’s latest cabinet launched last fall, along with the lighter, leaner Showpiece PRO Stand. The cabinet has refined cup holders and a smaller footprint, while maintaining the same state-of-the-art tech and software.
- Golden Tee PGA TOUR Deluxe: The ultimate arcade statement. Complete with an illuminated shroud and cupholders, along with a colorful, more robust TV stand, the Deluxe cabinet brings Golden Tee to life in a whole new way.
Best of all, each option includes something IT has never offered this early in its sales cycle before: the 2027 update—complete with new courses, features and content—is included in the price.
